New Cycle Parking Installed Today

A contractor will be installing new cycle stands on The Hundred, at Viney Avenue and at the entrance to the Memorial Park today. The new surfacing and cycle stands near the Memorial Park Café will be installed in w/c 8 January 2018.
A big thank you to Test Valley Borough Borough Council and Romsey Future for funding and arranging this.

I recently visited York and found it buzzing with cycling and cycling facilities. It's a great example of how cycling & historic go well together. Could Romsey be more like York? I added a few photos to inspire us.

Cycle Parking Priorities Agreed Feb 2017
Romsey Cycle Hub are working as part of the Romsey Future partnership to improve cycle parking in Romsey. We met on 8 February to agree the priorities for the £5K quick win spend on cycle parking. Planned revamps of Market Place & Bell Street will include cycle parking. Memorial Park, Woodley Stores are next on our wish list & TVBC will now begin feasibility work for these.

Breeze Champions Sought Jan 2017
British Cycling are looking to recruit new Breeze Champions in Southampton and across the South Hampshire area. There are free 1 day training courses coming up which may be of interest to organisations who are looking to promote cycling amongst their female workforce and inspire more women to ride.

£5K for Cycle Parking in Romsey Jan 2017
Test Valley Borough Council have announced that the winner of the recent Romsey Future quick win project vote and the recipient of up to £5,000, is the implementation of further cycle parking!
In order to progress the project, the next step will be to identify locations for the new cycle parking. TVBC are hosting a meeting on Wednesday 8 Feb 2017 to consider ideas. It would be great to get your ideas. |
