Romsey Cycle Hub are interested in planned developments around the town. It's often easier to plan in cycle facilities up front. We would like to review and influence plans, working in partnership with Romsey Future, to ensure they are cycle friendly.
Reviewing plans can be fascinating but time consuming so any help with this would be welcome.

Proposed approach to improve facilities for cyclists
Quiet Lanes
Under the Transport Act 2000 Local authorities are able to designate country lanes as 'Quiet Lanes' in rural areas. We have a lot of lovely lanes around Romsey. Should we seek Quiet Lane designation for some of these? Which? When designing cycle route improvements this status is certainly worth considering.
Quiet Lanes are a positive way of providing a chance for people to:
walk, cycle and horse ride in a safer environment
widening transport choice; and
protecting the character and tranquillity of country lanes.
