What Should Cyclists Do About Bad Driving in Romsey
Hi,
Several drivers have endangered my life Romsey within the last month.
3 cars have pulled out from the junction of the Hundred with Palmerston Street into my path whilst I was cycling round the corner (my right of way). One stopped inches from me.
2 cars have overtaken me whilst I was signally to turn right. The first was whilst I was cycling down Brashfield Rd signalling to turn right into Anstey Rd. The other whilst I was heading down School Rd, signalling and then moving across to turn right at the T junction. The latter I believe was deliberate - I was signalling for several seconds and had pulled halfway across the lane when they overtook at excessive speed.
Please can you advise : a) Whether I should contact you about these incidents? b) What level of proof is needed for you to take any action? c) What action would you be likely to take? d) Is camera footage be needed? e) What is the best way to report these instances? Is there an online form? e) Could Hampshire Constabulary do anything to educate Romsey drivers in how drive around cyclists?
